Ghat one of the most attractive Libyan oasis cities where most of Libyan tuareg live. In the past used to be one of the most important commercial center for passing caravans
through the desert between Libya Niger Chad.
Every year in December start one of the most important folkloric festival, giving an opportunity to know more about tuareg population and sahara way of life. Discovering mens and womens dancing, singing. Most of wich are performed in traditional dress. You will assist camel racing and craftmans market.
This festival is occasion where you can visit th most beautiful places of the Libyan desert, Akakus- Maghidet – Makhtendush – Murzug – Erg of Ubari-Sandy Lakes.
Ghadames a legend oasis town named *the pearl city of desert and classified as an heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Well known for its beautiful and inventive architecture
style houses were designed to withstand the extremes of the hot sahara climate.
The annual berber and tuareg cultural festival is a feast of events such camel racing, traditional Libyan dance, singing, and craftmans market. You will have 2 full days to discover the beauty of Ghadames and their habitants.
